![]() Interestingly, my iPhone 5s was actually replaced in the Apple store because I had a problem with it and that phone came in a skinny brown box and not the new larger white box. They also had serial numbers starting with DN. I also checked the two iPhone 5s boxes that I have where I know the phones came from Apple on launch date and were brand new. Many of the phones start with F1, meaning they were produced in the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, but several phones on display had serial numbers starting in DN. I went to the Apple store and checked all their phones on display. ![]() What I found out is that the DN only means that your phone has been produced at the Foxconn factory in Chengdu. ![]() I also checked into this because I had similar thoughts.
